Our FabricsOne of the most important factors when it comes to workwear is the material. Questions you need to ask yourself before choosing a garment include: What is the work environment in which the garment will be used? How much wear will they be subjected to? How are the garments to be washed?
The selection of fabrics, which Skillers currently uses for its US range, is limited to three main types. Details of these are listed below and further information on each is given under each product group.
Cotton Twill:
A lightweight 11oz. cotton, twill design for durability. With 100% cotton you can expect greater breath ability from the fabric, but you can also expect 3% shrinkage over the whole unit.
Cool Twill:
Material: 65% Polyester/35% cotton, 195g/m2, Features: Lightweight and strong, perfect to wear in hot temperatures.
Combines the comfort of cotton and the durability of polyester, as service line (5633), but with a lighter weight. Withstands the high washing temperatures of industrial laundries.
Polyester/Cotton:
Material: 65% Polyester/35% cotton, 250g/m
Features: Lightweight and strong. Combines the comfort of cotton and the durabilityof polyester. Garments retain their shapeand color longer. Withstands the high temperatures
Super Canvas:
A blend of 60% cotton and 40% polyester. The blend that is the best of both worlds. 10oz. cotton for breath ability and 40% polyester for color fastness, less shrinkage and durability.
