The Electrician Who Got Mad As Hell

From 1959 to 1972 I worked as an electrician - first building high-tension lines and then installing domestic and industrial wiring. Technologically, a great deal happened in those years. Materials and tools evolved, as did working methods.

But one thing never changed: work clothes. They were still just the same as in the mid-nineteenth century. They may have been fine in those days, but more than a hundred years' development had changed people's demands.

Work clothes failed to fill modern requirements concerning function, comfort and design. Manufacturers showed no interest in the "worker's" real needs. Perhaps they believed that workers were an inferior class who had no need of anything better.

Again and again I had suggested modifications. But no one listened. In the end, I got mad as hell: One day, I went home from work and designed my own garments to work in! That was my protest against the established work-clothing industry. I wanted to show that we workers have pride and know-how, and that our need of respect is the same as that of all other groups in society.

The clothing is called Skillers Workwear, and now with a sales organization in the United States you can experience it too! If your current work clothing is not meeting your needs, give Skillers a try. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
