In general knee injuries do not happen over night. It is the constant movement up and down on your knees over the year that causes problems. In time, the soft tissue is damaged and the end result is often pain or injury.

Remember, the knee is not designed to carry your entire body weight. Because most knee injuries among trades- people occur slowly over a long period of time, many assume they do not require knee protection. Many say "Oh, I am only on my knees occasionally." These however, are the very people who need knee protection most. Strapping on a kneepad every time a carpenter or electrician kneels down, is just not practical. This is why the Skillers Kneepad is such an important invention!

The kneepad is designed to be extremely lightweight. It slots easily into a special pocket on our Skillers Pants, no straps to worry about! You can walk freely, almost totally unaware of the presence of the pad, however when you kneel the pad is designed to cup around your knee and moves into position to give you maximum comfort and protection.

You only need to remove the pad when washing the pants or when it is time to replace the pad, usually every 6 to 12 months depending on the usage.
